These terms govern your use of Chat4Biz services. By using our service, you agree to these terms. "Service" refers to the Chat4Biz platform, dashboard, API, and embeddable chat widget.

2. Account Terms

• You must be 18 or older to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• One person or business per account, unless you are on an Agency plan.

3. Acceptable Use

• You may not use the service for any illegal purposes.
• You may not use the service to send spam, harassment, or harmful content.
• You are responsible for the content you upload to your knowledge base.
• You must comply with all applicable laws, including UK GDPR, when collecting end customer data through the widget.
• You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models used by our service.

4. Service Plans and Payment

• Plans and pricing are listed on our website and may vary by features and usage limits.
• Payments are processed monthly via Stripe.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard.
• No refunds are provided for partial months of service.
• We may change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing customers.

5. AI-Generated Content

Our AI assistants generate responses based on your knowledge base and configured personality settings.

6. Data and Privacy

• Our use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
• You retain ownership of your content and knowledge base data.
• We retain a licence to process your data solely to provide the service.
• You can export your data at any time from the dashboard.
• Upon account deletion, we will delete your data within 30 days.

7. Widget and Integration

• You may embed our widget on websites you own or have authorisation to manage.
• You are responsible for informing your end customers about the AI chat functionality on your site.
• You must comply with applicable cookie and privacy laws on your website.

8. Availability and Support

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable advance notice. Support is available via email at support@chat4biz.com.

9. Limitation of Liability

• The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
• Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

10. Termination

• You may cancel your account at any time from your dashboard settings.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
• Upon termination, your access to the service ends immediately.
• Data deletion follows the retention policy outlined in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
